Information To Join The Band

Thanks very much for enquiring about joining the band or the new Female Cumann. We are always keen on taking on new people into the band to become part of Scotlands Well Known Republican Flute Band!

VSM Republican Flute Band;

Like all bands the Volunteer Sean Mcilvenna RFB requires members to function as a band, without them we wouldn't exist so the band is always keen to take in new members, young and old, to preserve and promote the band as well as Cairde na hEireann, for the present and the future.

To be a member you don't have to be able to play a flute or drum just have the desire and the commitment to learn or if an instrument is not for you then you can join our colour party.

Band practice is on a Tuesday night in the Royston area (Garngad) from 7:30pm till 9:30pm.

VSM Cumann na mBan;

Our all new female cumann has been formed in late 2011 which has seen a group of woman come under the bands name to become the First All Female Cumann in Scotland. They are looking for any females who want to play their part but feels the wouldn't like to be in the band but would like to march & help work within Cairde na hEireann.

The Cumann meets once a month for a Update Meeting and attends Marches, Functions & Other Educational Events!.
